Cooling Water Treatment

  • GenGard* Cooling Water Programs are designed for critical cooling applications to maintain cleaner system surfaces and form the smallest dispersed particle sizes to ensure microchannel-sized cooling surfaces and larger chiller systems operate without any interruptions. In addition to providing a robust deposition control, GenGard programs also deliver excellent corrosion control, effectively extending asset life and reducing the total cost of operation (TCO).

  • Spectrus* Targeted Delivery (TD) Biocides help control biological growth and biofilm directly at the cooling surface more efficiently and effectively than traditional chemistries, preventing constriction and clogging of critical cooling systems. SUEZ experts can design a microbiological control program to fit your individual needs and system profile.

Optimizing Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE)

With up to 40% of your data center’s energy usage used for cooling and, maintaining and improving efficiency in these systems can have a dramatic effect on increasing PUE. SUEZ can help you maintain maximum reliability with unique technologies.

  • GenGard Chemistry with AEC decreases the amount of phosphate required for cooling water treatment by up to 70% and E.C.O.Film* programs eliminate phosphate entirely, significantly reducing the risk of deposition in the chiller and cooling systems.

  • FerroQuest* Cleaning Technology designed to be used either online or offline restores cooling operating efficiencies to peak performance levels, without the need for strong, inorganic acid cleaning agents.

  • Chiller Check Software offers a “window” into your chiller operation, constantly working in the background to track and understand online chiller performance. In Chiller plants with a level of redundancy, Chiller Check can be used to help evaluate chiller rotational strategies. Chiller Check will help you stay ahead of system issues and intelligently offer operational enhancement solutions that resolve any issues before they negatively affect system performance, even as system conditions naturally vary or drastically change.

Improving Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE)

The industry has an urgent need to consume less water while maintaining more efficient operations, this means potentially using compromised and challenging water sources such as tertiary treated wastewater, reclaimed water, or Title 22 water. As the industry searches for solutions to its water-related challenges, SUEZ utilizes combined expertise in water treatment systems, water chemistry, and plant operations to help you successfully operate your systems with minimal water use while maintaining maximum efficiency when using challenging water sources. 

Cooling Water Treatment

  • GenGard 8000 series products are designed to allow you to increase cycles of concentration, even in cooling systems with the most challenging water sources, resulting in a direct decrease in water use, while reducing or eliminating the need for acid addition.  

  • CorrShield* 5500 Series Technology are designed specifically to ensure cleanliness and reliability of microchannel-sized cooling in critical server, microchip, and data center cooling applications, the SV5500 series of products can be added directly to closed-loop applications as a complete coolant solution, without the need for ultrapure water generation, or confusing dosage requirements that result in fill-drain-refill situations to meet target dosage.

  • Chemical Feed & Control Systems provide reliable feed and control with automated redundancy to prevent failures and water use increases.

  • Monitors & Controllers offer you the ability to measure and adjust product concentration in your system in real-time, 24/7.

  • Minimizing risk of Legionella SUEZ offers cooling tower water treatment and services, which in combination with system design, location, customer’s operations, and maintenance are important in minimizing the risk of Legionella bacteria in cooling towers.

  • Cooling tower blowdown (CTB) treatment for make-up water or to blend can be an effective reuse strategy to minimize site discharge costs.  If in addition to water scarcity the site faces tight discharge regulations Suez MLD and ZLD systems can minimize or eliminate liquid waste streams and produce high purity water for reuse
